I would like to rate this movie as just an average vs the kind of hype given to it. Will Smith is not presented well in this movie though he gets a superhero dress in the end.. the dress actually sucks. Stunts are pretty ordinary and special effects can be rated as below expected.

Only thing good about this movie i think is the story they have built for his existence. That gives a strong base for Sequels that might come.

I would not be surprised to see people coming out of theatres with a sad face after movie. Movie would still be a hit in box office because of star cast and the kind of marketing done on this movie.

Over all the movie can just be rated as 4/10.

Change

This time when I went to India for vacation, people were happy to see me and they had lots of question regarding US and their life style. Starting from the food I eat till the different kind of girls. One common question everyone asked was "Gowri what have you changed ? " and I always kept answering them NOTHING!!!. Days passed and every guy whom i met had same question in one or the other way and i kept denying that i have not changed in any fashion.
When I was on my flight back to US, they served me meal, which had "Bun and Butter". I happily sliced the bun into two halves applied complete butter and ate it happily. All of a sudden a funny thought struck me and I realised what has changed in me.

The change was when I had travelled first time to US from India I always used to leave bun and butter aside as I thought Bread, bun and all are patients food, but this time around I was happily eating that Bun. So the change was I could eat Bread and Bun happily and still feel healthy :).

Beautiful Unpredictable Life!!!

This Christmas I had been to my friends place at Madison, I had great time there along with great food all the three days.I had to work for 2 days out of that because of some production issue. All in all it was a wonderful Trip.

I dont want to tell what i did in those days but what amazed me was my drive back on I-90 W. Last year around this time(I meant Nov) I was sitting in BMTC bus and listening to Vasanthi from FM 91 or Ashwin from Radio Mirchi and enjoying my travel on Hosur ride & today I was driving a Toyota Camry(though a 10 yr old car) with all old Rajkumar hits(Yare kugadali, Binkada singari, Yaru tilidaru nina bujabaladha parkrama)being played in that.

I had never thought in my life that I would be driving a car in US high way and playing a old kannada song. It was beautiful and unpredicatable.

That time same words came out of my mouth to my buddy in car " Maga yav lofer na maga ankondidha nan US ge bandhu Kannada song hakondu Gadi odsthini antha". That was really an amazing feeling. I felt air of satisfaction around me, though I had done nothing great, I felt really good.

From that day I have put lot of kannada song in my ipod and "Mungaru Male" is just on and on :).

D-day 16-dec!!!

Its been one long year now ,I staying in US alone away from my family & friends. This one year was a kind of wave in my life as the time was just flying and I almost never realised how the time was passing. This doesn't mean that i was enjoying always but most of the time i was working or doing stuffs which would make me realise lot of things.

Sitting here i think sometime whether is it worth for me staying here away from my family and friends. Is that little extra money worth all that i lose as a part of fun and relationsship ? This answer cannot be answered by me as i myself sometime cannot decide on this stuff, Keeping all this aside this onsite stay for me has given a new approach in my life.

I just thought every one i knew in India were my world and they all liked me or were really close to me. As time passed by it was becoming more obvious on people's true color. I still remember the day when i left where i had invited few people for lunch saying that would be my last lunch with them. They had given me most crapiest reson in this world to avoid that, That didnt bother me though, But few of my school friends had come to my home when i was leaving and few of my hostel friends came to airport to wish me luck.

This might sound real stupid to you ,but for me it was kind of important as i would have only those things in my memory for rest of my life.
Even here at onsite i met different people with different kind of characters. Every guy in themselves were fun and had a unique characters which was always fun to have around. I was not aware of most of the stuff in US, i should really thank one of my Roommate who was a consultant who thought me most of the stuffs in US. He was one of the most confident guy whom i had ever met , this had some serious impact on my behaviour.

Day to day client interaction, speaking to different people, doing some naughty stuffs and doing some serious work made my stay here in onsite a perfect mix of fun and boredom.

I also developed interest towards photography and realised the perfect meaning of weekend and long weekend.

When ever I was in India I never used to roam around in long weekends... saw nothing more than in and around Bangalore, but now when i return to India i plan to use the most of long weekends in India & visit different places.

Though I tell all this I miss my home , home made food and friends and my bike rides...

Hope to visit India in 2008 .. till then keep missing me :).

Marriage ???? ooooffff

Ahhh Marriage that bug has intruded our hostel group now. This was clearly mentioned in their website.

I came back around 3:30 and they again placed coupon machine so as to collect the number and on that order they would call so as to collect the submitted documents.

It is here when i heard lot of insane talks by my own country fellow men and was disappointed badly.....
All the people from Bombay,Delhi, Bangalore had their own stories to compare this.

A Bombay guy says they have done this like a "Bombay Local Train" and no arrangements to collect those coupons.

A Bangalore guy said "Idhu BMTC bus stand thara idhe " ( its like BMTC bus stand ) and consulate doesn't maintain any discipline at all.

There were many other things which were coming out which was really disappointing for me to hear.

I had just one question for them if either Bombay didn't had Local train as its life line or Bangalore didn't have BMTC bus as its public transport , I am not sure how many of us would have done any college to get a descent job so as to come to US.

We need to have at least minimum gratitude towards our country.

Just because people are staying here for couple of years they start feeling themselves next to god and start cribbing about each and every stuff.

Let me tell you what is the fact

Here US Gov takes nearly 40% of your salary as Tax, so i don't feel its a big thing for them to maintain any kind of discipline or safety measures. Back home forget about taxes, people wont pay what actually has to go to govt. also they try to do each and everything under the table.

I just want to mention that if you cannot do any thing good to country just don't make our country feel low in front of others specially in a foreign country. Today what we are is because of our country and facilities provided in our country. We need to remember one thing cribbing is a very easy job every one on this earth can do and it doesn't require any great talent. Being a good citizen of a country and how you can add values and prosperity to country is what makes you different.

So next time when you stand in a public place and crib about India , just think again. There might be some one just like me standing and thinking about you how cheap a person can be.

I saw Music Magician

It was on June 7 evening where i saw a magician along with his 65 other troop member who mesmerized the crowd of 10,000 odd people at Chicago sears centre. It was my best concert of life till now.

He was none other than Mr. A.R. Rehman.

Rehman started with kalbali and ended with Maa Tuje salam and i enjoyed every minute of his 3.5 hrs concert.

He works with the most talented people in the industry they include Hari Haran, Chitra , Shivmani, Sukhwinder, Blaze and many others...
as they say best people work with the best Rehman just proved it true again. All were extreemly talented and were best at their own field.

When he sang or made others sing i was amazed by the flow of the crowd.Every other song they sang just overtook the previous one.

he played an instrument which was invented at IL institute of technology which can be used to play hindustani.. that was amazing performance by him.

it was time when he started the Ma Tuje Salam whole crowd just stood up and supported him in that song. I felt great seeing such a patriotism but at the same time i felt what are we doing here if we are so patriotic!!!!! thats still a big question mark in mind???

but at the end i can say that he is a magician and he can do anything with music and people would just love it.

Greeting or Smile -- A good American culture

When I came down to US for the first time on dec 16 all unknown people were smiling at me,
I thought was something wrong with me or all these people sick.

I gradually got used to it and then people said me its in their culture to greet people and wish them.

Any unknown person if you pass by here its a very casual thing that they smile at you.
If you have a little contact or if you work at a same place there will be a sure question of " How are You " and "How is your day going".

I felt this is one of the good thing which we can have in us rather than having a down face when we meet some one new.
This really helps to break the ice between people.
